Can citalopram help with Insomnia?

I have been prescribed Citalopram for anxiety and insomnia, will it work

unfortunately you will have to try it to find out with brain pills its different for everyone. i can tell you that it wont be instantaneous unless sleepiness is a side effect. ive tried citalopam and didnt work for me, amytryptiline didnt help, venlafaxine did.
